4. Instagram Integration & Meta Platform Data

ShootEngine AI offers an optional feature that lets you connect your own Instagram account (via Meta's official Instagram API with Instagram Login) so you can publish AI-generated product videos and captions created on our platform directly to your Instagram account as Reels. This feature is entirely opt-in — nothing is connected or posted without your explicit action.

When you choose to connect Instagram, we access and store the following data, obtained directly from Meta with your consent:

• Basic profile information: your Instagram user ID and username, used to identify your connected account and display your connection status in our dashboard.
• Access token: a long-lived Instagram access token, used solely to publish content to your Instagram account when you explicitly click "Post to Instagram". This token is encrypted at rest (AES-256) in our database and is never shared with third parties.
• Published content: the video and caption you choose to publish are sent to Instagram only when you initiate a post — we do not publish anything automatically or on your behalf without direct action from you.

We use this data only to operate the features described above: authenticating your Instagram connection, checking connection status, and publishing content you explicitly submit. We do not use your Instagram data for advertising, and we do not sell or share it with third parties.

Revoking access: you can disconnect your Instagram account at any time from within our dashboard (Stores page), which immediately deactivates our access. You can also revoke access directly from Instagram/Facebook's own Settings → Apps and Websites at any time.

Data deletion: when you disconnect your account, or when you remove our app's access from your Instagram/Facebook settings, we deactivate the stored connection and associated access token. You may also request full deletion of your Instagram connection data at any time by contacting support@shootengineai.com.
